Kia Orana! I’ve just returned from a week in the incomparable Cook Islands. My mind is still processing the visuals and sensory of it all. Once I can reactivate my island-induced narcotic pulse to a bpm high enough to type for more than a few minutes, you will hear (and see) all about this magical, magical place…
Ok, so a few weeks ago I finally had a chance to put my new underwater GoPro to the test…and what a first test it was!! You won’t Belize (I mean believe) what was waiting for me on my VERY first jump into the water at the Belize Barrier Reef. I’m talking ZERO training (unless you count the filming I did in my fish tank) and being “thrown” into one of the world’s largest natural aquariums with some flippers, a GoPro on a stick and a leaky snorkeling mask. Here’s how it all went down… #YouBettaBelizeIt!!
You know how when you go to some places, people like to tell you “don’t drink the water”? Well nobody ever advised me not to drink the mescal with scorpions floating at the bottom. So I did. On a recent trip to Oaxaca, Mexico – along with my tag team partner “El Gran Queso” – the Gringo With A Green Bag had a no-holds-barred experience in the excitingly cultured city of Oaxaca! Once the mask comes out, it’s game ON! Check out how it all went down right here…
Hey amigos, happy Spring to all my fellow Northern Hemisphere dwellers! It’s my favorite time of year, no doubt about it (post-“tax season”, of course). Baseball, great weather, extended sunshine, morning serenade out my window by the local yellow-breasted goldfinch. I believe it’s also the best time to travel in most places around the globe, at least my favorite time anyway. So, that brings me to my newest vlog series (video + blog)…and this one is a nice lil’ warm up for my upcoming trip to BELIZE. I’ll be taking my new GoPro Hero 4 Silver to the Belize Barrier Reef, and then into the jungle, in a few short weeks, so I though I’d give it a little test run…a rather “advanced” test run, if you ask me! 🙂
Enjoy! #GWAGBelize

¡Hola amigos! I had the great opportunity to visit with some of my friends from #Mexico at the recent LA Travel & Adventure Show! As I always say, “Mexico is my #1!” After speaking with Sandra from the La Paz Tourism Board (Baja California Sur), it looks like Mexico isn’t gonna lose that top spot anytime soon. 🙂
“What ya sayin’ man!” Here we go island lovers, my NEW promo video for the Bahamas is a wrap! 🙂 I had the sensational pleasure to film this video on my last stop on the #FreedomTour a few months back. What a gem of an island! Let’s please keep it a “secret” though, cuz Lenny Kravitz (who lives there part time) told me to help keep it that way. True story. Nice man.
So, relax your mind, unwind and enjoy my virtual tour through the island of Eleuthera. *Please don’t view this video while operating any machinery…or if you are required of a productive day at work. 😉
And that’s a wrap folks! I’m happy to say that my new destination promo video for Eleuthera, Bahamas is complete. What a mentally soothing filming and editing project it was (well, the editing not as soothing. Had to put my feet in a sandbox at my computer station and add a splash of banana rum to my coffee every morning to keep the island vibe alive). Video will be posted soon. Get ready to relax your mind and unwind with a virtual tour through “The Real Bahamas”. 🙂
Just wrapped up the first leg of the #FreedomTour 2015 (literally…got my knee sleeved up as a result of some rugged hiking and shifty-legged Glidecam work. Took me a few embarrassing attempts to jump up on that rock, lol). The first stop was in the Eastern and Western Sierras of Central & Northern California (my home state). It could very well be the most beautiful and naturally diverse state in the union (but I’ll leave that judgement for a later day…once I’ve seen all 50 of those bad boys.)
Autumn in California…we’ve got some colors too folks. 🙂 More photos and video clips coming soon. Walking and gliding (sometimes stumbling) through nature…nothing quite like it.
October is in the house! Next week I’m kicking off my Fall “Freedom” Tour 2015! I’ll be visiting 3 new destinations over the next few months…a journey to explore and highlight the diversity of this beautiful planet. Mountains…Culture…Sea…ending the tour in Eleuthera, which means “Freedom” in Greek. We are free to #travel, free to #explore, free to #learn, free to #discover…and most importantly, free to open our minds and gain a better understanding and appreciation of the world through simple interactions with people who are different, through learning about unique cultures and by establishing a personal connection with nature and the environment. Stay tuned for all the #GWAGB updates and photos…and please connect with me on Instagram for real-time updates from each destination 🙂
